USEFUL LINKS

I'm always looking to see what new technology or concept is disrupting the professional world.
Below are a few useful links I have found particularly thought provoking for one reason or another. I hope they are an inspiring for you as they are for me...

TEDTALKS

Simon Sinek is one of today’s great business thinkers and in this 5-minute video he summarises his classic concept – “Getting to Why”. Brilliant stuff, simple to understand – not quite so easy to put into practice, but so worth it!

IDRIS ELBA + PURDEY'S

DO IT! What do you want to do when you grow up? Oh, so there are reasons why you can’t… I understand. And it’s too late as you’re already grown up…?

NO.

Think about what you want to do, then make it happen! Don’t worry about failure, just do it anyway. If it scares you, perfect. If it’s a goal you know you can make – ask yourself are you really going for it, doing your best, getting the most from life?

MOONSHOT THINKING

Moonshot thinking – a JFK idea about we don’t know how we’re going to do it, we’re just going to anyway. I think this should be mandatory watching for everyone. Best watched with the volume turned up in a room with like-minded people you don’t mind getting choked up with.

SIMON SINEK ON MILLENIALS IN THE WORKPLACE

Simon Sinek on millennials (people born after 1984). 18 minutes but you’ll be hooked. Insightful, witty, and for anyone employing millennials or with children, hugely useful – if perhaps slightly hard-hitting. Great to listen to.

STEPHEN COVEY'S 7 HABITS

Stephen Covey’s 7 Habits is a classic book, programme, way of life. This is a 7-minute summary to get you started – or remind you. Essential watching
